HERE is set to be the first new live venue to open in the central London district since way back in the 1940s. The 2000-capacity space is set to open later this summer. Outernet, the company behind the latest London venue, were also responsible for the redevelopment of Tottenham Court Road tube station.. The Summer Palace, by Agustin Vidal Saavedra, opened today (January 12) at The Now Building, which organisers say is the "most advanced immersive space in existence". The facility features 23,000 sq ft of floor-to-ceiling, 36-degree, 8K screens across four storeys. It is the flagship space of Outernet, an "immersive media and culture.
